Funeral services for James Robert Hutto, 80, of Pelham will be held Friday, January 8, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home with interment at Hopeful Baptist Church Cemetery.
Rev. Matt Peek will officiate.
Born October 30, 1935 in Hopeful, Mitchell County, Georgia, he was the son of the late James Boyd Hutto and Eva Day Hutto. Mr. Hutto passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville on Wednesday, January 6, 2016.
Mr. Hutto served in the Air Force and was a member of Pelham First Baptist Church. He was self-employed and prior owner of Pelham Paint and Body. After retirement he enjoyed traveling and rebuilding and repairing homes. Mr. Hutto was a past member of the Pelham Chamber of Commerce and one of the founders of the Pelham Jamboree.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy Jean Warren Hutto; daughter Donna Hutto; grandchildren Frederick Maxwell, Arthur Maxwell, Samantha Hutto, Amanda Maxwell, Crystal Daniels (Joshua), James Dustin Lee, and Shaina Edenfield (Tyler); great-grandchildren Eva Hutto, James Goodwin, Gemma Daniels, Jackson Daniels, Piper Edenfield, and Mya Stanton; brothers Jerome Hutto (Carol) and Carroll Hutto; sisters Shirley Singleton (Jake) and Lautry Ann Hutto.
He was preceded in death by his parents James Boyd Hutto and Eva Day Hutto and daughter Frances Maxwell.
Pallbearers will be Jody Hutto, Trevor Hutto, Doyle Singleton, Tyler Edenfield, Bill Goodwin, and Isaac Layton.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 7, 2016 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home.
