James Floyd Holton, Sr.

James Floyd Holton, Sr., 74, of Thomasville will be held Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 11:00AM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Rev. Arnold Buckner will officiate and interment will be in Pinecrest Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Tod Kimmel, Junior Tallent, Rubicel Martinez, Ralph Burgess and Billy Loney. Born October 18, 1948 in Moultrie he was the son of the late Emory Robert and Novella Johnson Holton and Babe Eubanks. Mr. Holton passed away Monday, October 2, 2023 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his son, James Floyd Holton, Jr. (Angie), and daughter, Dawn Brock (Todd); grandchildren, Hunter Brock (Heather); Tommy Loney (Dana); Billy Loney (Maria); Krystle Loney (Alyssa), and Brianna Holton (Tod) and great grandchildren, Persephone, Camron, Kynslee, Charleigh, AJ, DJ, Abby, Jackson, Emilyn and Kennedy; sister, Joann Burgess (Ralph); Hilda Cameron and numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Avie Allen Holton, brother, Lamar Sanders and sister, Floretta Pipkin. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:00-8:00PM at the funeral home.
