James Allen Greene, Sr.

Funeral services for James Allen. Greene, Sr., 79, of Pelham will be held Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 2:00PM at Union Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Doug Hall and Rev. Alton Harper will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Trevor Coffey, Brian Greene, Jamie Greene, Robert Wilson, Noah Wilson, Matthew Gainous, Trey Rogers and Chris Bell. Born December 31, 1944 in Lafayette, GA he was the son of the late Johnnie Randolph and Lela Mozelle Stanfield Greene. Mr. Greene passed away Monday, March 4, 2024 at Mitchell County Hospital. He was a Army Veteran and Mechanic Supervisor at The Marine Corp Logistics Base and member of Union Grove Baptist Church. He was married 58 years to Beverly Bulloch Greene of Pelham who survives. Other survivors include his son, James Allen (Jamie) Greene Jr. (Shannon) of Pelham; daughter, Kelli Lynn Greene Wilson (Robert) of Pelham; grandchildren, Alexis Wilson of Denver, Co and Noah Wilson of Pelham; two sisters, Celia Coffey (Buck) and Anita Gilreath (Neil) all of La'Fayette, GA and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Sammy Greene and and brother, Keith Greene.
