Funeral services for James Whitey Bush, 81, of Pelham will be Monday, January 3,2022 at 2:30 PM at Willis Jamerson Braswell Funeral Home. Rev. Nathan Fowler will officiate with a private family burial to follow at Mizpah Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Josh Franklin, Ethan Bush, Tommy Bond, Willie Bond, Brandon Bond, and Nat Hester. Honorary pallbearers will be Jody Cooke and Hugh Franklin. Mr. Bush passed away Saturday, January 1,2022 at his residence. Born October 8,1940 in Camilla, GA, he was the son of the late Willie A. Bush and Loye May Wilder Bush. Mr. Bush was a Timber Buyer for Norton Timber Company. Mr. Bush is survived by his wife, Kathleen Bush; two daughters, Kari Franklin (Tim) of Demopolis, AL and Debbie Taylor of Pelham; one son Waylon Bush (Christi) of Pelham; grandchildren Shianna Franklin, Joshua Franklin, Lexie Taylor, Wyatt Bush, Ethan Bush, Desiree Bush; great grandchildren Landyn Warner and Colton Franklin; two sisters Louise Butler (Thurman) of Panacea, FL and Sandra Langley of Tallahassee, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Verdy Harden and Elva Jane Bond Crawford and one brother Leon Bush. Willis Jamerson Braswell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
