Hershel Drinkwater

Graveside funeral services for Hershel L. Drinkwater, 93, of Thomasville, formally of Pelham will be held Monday, June 19, 2023 at 10:00AM at New Light Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, 2152 Hwy 41 N Morgan GA. Rev. Steve Brooks will officiate. Born October 5, 1929 in Morgan he was the son of the late Dannie Elmore and Ivy Ragan Drinkwater. Mr. Drinkwater passed away Friday, June 16, 2023 at Legacy Village of Thomasville. He was a member of East Pelham Baptist Church, a United States Army Veteran and Retired Heavy Equipment Salesman for Palmland Equipment. He was married for 46 years to Virginia Taylor Drinkwater who preceded him in death. He is survived by his son Keith Drinkwater (Tanya) of Eatonton; daughter Karen Butler of Camilla; grandchildren, Tony Drinkwater (Dorrie); Kyle Drinkwater (Dria); Keaton Drinkwater; Cayson Butler (Kyndall) and Michael bButler; seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and siblings, Elmore Drinkwater, Leham Drinkwater, Edwin Drinkwater, Dorothy Drinkwater, Veda Drinkwater and Leon Drinkwater. In Lieu of flowers please make donations to Legacy Village at Plantation Manor in Thomasville in the memo section please put Drinkwater charity.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 18, 2023 from 3:00-5:00PM.
