Henry Clayton Lamar, Sr.

Funeral services for Henry Clayton Lamar, Sr, 91, of Sale City will be held Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 2:00PM at Liberty Hill Cemetery.  Rev. Lee Bradley will officiate. Pallbearers will be the grandchildren, Kyli Lamar, Madison Hill, Billy Billings, Colby Billings, Clayton Lamar and Cuy Lamar. Mr. Lamar was born September 12, 1931 in Dutton, AL, to the late Carl Odell and Lena Mae Tidwell Lamar. He passed away Monday, January 2, 2023 at his residence. He retired from the ASCS office in Mitchell County and was a retired farmer. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Ruth Edwards Lamar of Sale City, a daughter, Lindy Savelle (Perry) of Ochlocknee; a son, Henry Clayton Lamar, Jr. (Kaye) of Sale City; grandchildren, Kyli Lamar, Madison Hill (Kyle), Billy Billings (Katherine), Colby Billings, Clayton Lamar and Cuy Lamar and one great grandchild, Beau Billings. He was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother-in-law, Robert and Myrtle Edwards and five sisters and one brother.
