Funeral services for Helen Humphries Godwin, 89, of Pelham will be Sunday, May 6, 2018 at 3:00PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. The Rev. David Pickering will officiate and interment will be in Pelham City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Godwin, Wyatt Godwin, Todd Humphries, Burk Mobley, Chip Free and Scott Free. Born October 19, 1928 in Pelham she was the daughter of the late Thomas Martin and Ella Ree Humphries. Ms. Godwin passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Willson Hospice House in Albany. She was employed by Hand Trading Company before she retired. She was married for 53 Years to Steve J. Godwin who preceded her in death. She attended Macedonia Baptist Church and was in the Business Women’s Club.  Survivors include her son, Michael Keaton Godwin (Joyce) of Pelham; two grandchildren; Denver Godwin Cook (Brian) of TX; and David A. Godwin (Azure) of TX; three great grandchildren, Braden Cook, Dillon Cook and Wyatt Godwin. Other survivors include her sisters and brothers, Jackie H. Mobley of Cairo; Judy H. Free (Donald) of Perry; and Tommy Humphries (LaDonnia) of Pelham. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a daughter, Jana Godwin Leggette.
