Hazel Louise Alligood

NOTICE - Due to the current and expected weather, the Family is relocating the service to Willis Jamerson Braswell Funeral Home Chapel.  It will remain at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 17, 2020 and conclude at the Funeral Home.  The Family will be at the funeral home by 1:30 and also can visit with friends after the service.

A graveside service for Hazel Alligood, 96, will be held at Meigs Sunset Cemetery on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Franklin Russ officiating. Deacons of Meigs Baptist Church will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. Mrs. Alligood was married to Ronald H. Alligood for over 50 years.  He preceded her in death in 1996.  She worked as a Secretary at Meigs Baptist Church for over 40 years before her retirement. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ron Alligood and wife Gwinette of Thomasville; a daughter and son-in-law, Sherie Alligood Oberleitner and husband Marty of Moultrie; two grandsons, Curt Wilson of Thomasville and Jonathan Mercer of Pelham; granddaughters Kristen Wilson of Atlanta, Jennifer Mercer Hancock and husband Jeremy of Montgomery, AL, Ellen Alligood Chapman and husband Bryan of Auburn, GA, and Amanda Alligood of Lawrenceville, GA; great grandsons Cody Hancock of Montgomery, AL. and Blake Mercer of Pelham; great grandchildren Lynlee Mercer of Pelham, Kaleigh Hancock of Montgomery, AL, and Macyn Mercer of Pelham.. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, William and Bertie Leigh Graham.

The services will be live streamed on Willis Jamerson Braswell Funeral Home facebook page.  In the event of inclement weather, services may be moved to Willis Jamerson Braswell Funeral Home Chapel.
