Gloria Humphries Palmer

Gloria Palmer, 87, of Pelham passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Sunday, June 25, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Macedonia Baptist Church with interment in Macedonia Cemetery.  Rev. David Pickering and Rev. Marvin Snipes will officiate.  Pallbearers will be Shay Walden, Brad Palmer, Louie Adams, Kevin West, Bryce Palmer and Yale Whigham. Born May 8, 1936, in Pelham, GA, she was the daughter of the late Delma and Mila Brinson Humphries.  She was a self-employed caterer.  She was known to work with new brides and may goodies for everyone.  She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Brinkley (Tommy) of Cairo, two sons Dwight Palmer (Debra) and Lesley Palmer (Sue) both of Pelham, grandchildren Tanya Caraway (Chris), Brad Palmer (Jennifer), Kristen Welch, Nicki Palmer, Mark Brinkley (Heather) and Nick Brinkley (Holly), numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, sisters Lenora Nazworth (Don) of Naverre Beach, FL, and Mary Andrews of Cairo.  She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Rhonda Yancey, sister Glenda Howell, brothers Jerry Humphries, Wendall Humphries, and Waymon Humphries.  The family will meet with friends on Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 2:00-3:00 PM prior to the service.
