In Loving Memory of Gail Gresham Nazworth
Gail Gresham Nazworth, aged 87, of Appling, Georgia, peacefully passed away on December 2, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on March 31, 1936, in Kosciusko, Mississippi, to Albert and Louise Gresham. Gail was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and her absence leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her.
Gail is survived by her devoted daughters, Terri Trivett (Larry) and Vicki Chambers (Gary), and her sons, Charles Nazworth and Andy Nazworth (Kim), 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Gail also leaves behind her dear sister, Nancy Mingea. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles R. Nazworth Sr., her parents, Albert and Louise Gresham, her sister, Effie Pittman, and her granddaughter, Lauren Nazworth. She was a pillar of strength and love for her family, and her memory will forever be treasured.
Educated at Greenville High School in Georgia, Gail continued her pursuit of knowledge at South Georgia College. Her determination and passion led her to a successful career as a Supervisor for the Department of Revenue for the State of Georgia. Gail's unwavering commitment and professionalism left an indelible mark on her colleagues and the community she served.
Beyond her professional achievements, Gail found solace and fulfillment in her beloved hobbies. She had a green thumb that allowed her to create breathtaking gardens, and her culinary skills were second to none. Gail's meals were a testament to her love and nurturing spirit. Additionally, she found tranquility by the water, casting her fishing line and embracing the beauty of nature.
A traditional memorial service will be held on January 13, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Willis Jamerson Braswell Funeral Home in Pelham, Georgia, as a solemn occasion for family, friends, and community members to pay their final respects and honor Gail's life. Interment will follow at Pelham City Cemetery.
Gail Gresham Nazworth's legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew her. She was a beacon of light and strength, and her absence is deeply felt. May she find eternal peace in the arms of her Creator, and may her memory continue to inspire and guide us all.
