Funeral services for Evelyn Shiver Autry, 92, of Meigs will be held Monday, December 4, 2017 at 11:00AM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. The Rev. Stacy West will officiate and interment will be in Liberty Hill Cemetery. Born March 10, 1925 in Poulan, Georgia she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Anna Grubbs Shiver. Mrs. Autry passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Mitchell County Hospital. She was a member of Hinsonton Baptist Church and a retired RN with the Mitchell County Health Department. She is survived by her children, Louis M Autry, Jr. of Hinsonton; Kathy A. Strickland (Rick) of Pelham; Lucy A. Gondor (John) of Hinsonton; Grandchildren, Keith Long (Jennifer) of Jefferson; Jason Autry (Windy) of Hartsfield; Abram Autry of Hartsfield; Daniel Autry of Moultrie; Hunter Strickland of Pelham; Jenna Singleton (Kyle) of Pelham; Aaron Gondor of Hinsonton; 10 Great Grandchildren and a sister, Peggy Ford of Sylvester. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Louis M. Autry, Sr., and a brother, Monroe (Bo) Shiver. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00-11:00AM.
