Eunice Morrell

Funeral services for Eunice Hooks Morrell, 86, of Pelham will be held Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 2:00PM at Union Grove Baptist Church. The Rev. Doug Hall and Rev. Charlie Parish will officiate and interment will be in Pinecrest Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Russ Godwin, Jody Pollock, John Ivey Loyd, Craig Ingermann, Travis Waldrep and Jon Ray. Honorary pallbearers will be John Loyd, Teddy Godwin and Dean Goodson. Born April 12, 1932 in Pelham she was the daughter of the late Lafayette Monroe and Lottie Corine Cox Hooks. Ms. Morrell passed away Monday, May 7, 2018 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. She was married to Ray Lamon Morrell for 63 years who preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy M. Pollock (Howard deceased) of Jefferson; Rose Godwin (Teddy) of Pelham; Sandra Goodson (Dean) of Crestview, Fl; Mona Loyd (John) of Kennesaw;  sisters, Glenda Free (Buddy) of Cobb; Suzanne Morrell (Mose) of Pelham; brothers, W.L. Hooks (Annette) of Dawson; Floyd Hooks (LaRue) of Thomasville; sister-in-law, June Edwards (Jerry) of Pelham; 11 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 from 5:00-7:00PM.
