Esther Kelley Maxwell

Esther Kelley Maxwell, 88, of Camilla, passed away at her residence on December 12, 2023.  Funeral services will be held Friday, December 15, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church, Climax, Georgia, where she is a member.  Rev. Thad Marshall will officiate with interment to follow at Pinecrest Memory Gardens, Pelham, Georgia.  Pallbearers will be Max Joyner, Hank Joyner, Baley Sapp, Jhett Sapp, Don Pope, and Pete Pedersen. Born May 16, 1935 in Climax, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late James (Jim) and Louvennie (Vennie) Cannon Kelly.  She worked as a secretary for Miller Hydro, Mitchell County Equipment, and Maxwell Ford.  She is survived by her son, Tim Maxwell (Latricia) of Camilla, granddaughters Kelley Joyner (Luke) of Camilla and Holli Sapp (Jarrell) of Sale City, great grandchildren Baley Sapp, Jhett Sapp, Sallie Sapp, Max Joyner and Hank Joyner, and several nieces and nephews.  Ms. Maxwell was preceded in death by her parents, her son David Maxwell, brother Carey Kelley, sisters and brothers in law Marguerie Mullis (Thaxton), Sarah Pope (Eugene), niece Cathie Pedersen and nephew Michael Wright.  The family will meet with family and friends on Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Willis Jamerson Braswell Funeral Home.
