Eleanor Kemp Massing

Eleanor Kay Kemp Massing “Kay”, formerly of Pelham, passed away on June 15, 2023 in Pembroke Pines, Florida.  Kay was born on August 2, 1944 to Herbert L. Kemp, Jr and Eleanor Oxford Kemp of Pelham, Georgia.  Kay went to school in Pelham, graduating in 1962.  She attended Women’s College of Georgia in Milledgeville (now Georgia College) where she met her future husband Ted Massing who was attending Georgia Miliary College.  Kay and Ted married in 1965 and moved to south Florida where she lived until her death.  Kay was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.  She treasured every moment spent with her family.

Kay is preceded in death by her parents Eleanor and Herbert Kemp, Jr.  She is survived by her husband Ted Massing, her son Trevor Massing, her daughter Meredith Massing Patterson and husband Chris, three grandchildren Mark Patterson, Alexis Patterson, Dalton Massing, one great grandchild Gekirah Patterson, and her sister Beth Kemp.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local animal shelter. 

Funeral arrangements were held in Florida.
