Edna Humphries

Funeral services for Edna Autry Humphries, of Pelham, will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home with interment in Mizpah Cemetery.  Rev. Nathan Fowler and Warren Humphries will officiate. Mrs. Humphries passed away at her residence on Monday, August 29, 2016. Born May 24, 1921, in Grady County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late James Edward Autry and Frances Pasche Godwin Autry Blewett.  Mrs. Humphries was a homemaker. She is survived by her children Vivian McGalliard, Lowell Stanley Humphries, and Beverly Collier Spiegelberg (Hale); grandchildren Kimberly C Ashe (Kevin), Kirk R. McGalliard (Brandi) and Christopher L. Humphries; great grandchildren Morgan McGalliard, Blaire McGalliard, Kristina Ashe, Kendall Ashe, Dylan Humphries, Savannah Humphries, Cameron Humphries and McKenzie Humphries; numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Humphries was preceded in death by her parents James Edward Autry and Frances Pasche Godwin Autry Blewett; her husband P. L. Humphries; granddaughter, Pascha McGalliard;  siblings Inez Autry Williams and J. E. Autry; half sisters Mary Jane Blewett Howell, Mary Davis, Florence Holt, Maude Whigham, Martha Willis, Fannie Mae Wills, Odell and Annie Pearl who died as an infant. Pallbearers will be Earl Godwin, Bobby Godwin, Jeffery Godwin, Stan Humphries, Dylan Humphries and Lee Williams. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:15– 11:00AM on Wednesday, August 31, 2016.
