Edna Blewett

Graveside services for Edna Blewett, 94, of Pelham  will be held Sunday, October 31, 2021 at 3:00PM at Godwin Cemetery on Lodgetown Road. Rev. Nathan Fowler will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 6:00-8:00PM at the funeral home. Pallbearers are John Godwin, Jr., Kevin Godwin, Jason West, Cory West, Frank Williams and Mickey Williams.  Honorary pallbearers are Robert NeSmith and Jamie Williams.  Mrs. Blewett passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home.  Born October 27,1927 in Decatur County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Norman Wiley and Armelia Porter Williams.  She was a member of East Pelham Baptist Church. Ms. Blewett is survived by her children, John D. Godwin (Sarah), India Adams and Frankie G. Creech, grandchildren John Godwin (Summer), Cherokee Godwin, Kevin Godwin, Dena Key (Elvis), Jason West (Rebecca), Cory West (Temperance), Lynn Martin (Jessie), Dawn Taylor (Donald), numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, sister Joyce Sheperd, brother, Thomas W. Williams (Wanda), sister-in-law Kate Williams, numerous nieces and nephews, and a special daughter Alene Cox.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Johnnie D. Godwin and Robert E. Blewett, daughters Linda Sue Godwin and Joyce Mook, granddaughter Zandra White, brothers Nathaniel Williams, Ellison Williams, Wenifred Williams and sister Irma Jordan.
