Dorothy Parkman Sizemore

October 31, 1926 — August 16, 2024

Hogansville, GA

On August 16,2024, Dorothy Parkman Sizemore, also affectionately known as “Nannie”, left her earthly home for her heavenly home at the age of 97. Dot, of Pelham, GA and Hogansville, GA, was reunited with her past family and friends. She was a caring and doting wife for 76 years to her deceased husband James Wesley Sizemore, Sr., also of Pelham, GA and Hogansville, GA. We believe he was waiting on her at Heaven’s gate to ask her for a toothpick, glass of water, and a napkin which was the start of their beautiful love story. Nannie is survived by her grandchildren, Melissa, Jennifer, Heather, Chris, and Brian; and great-grandchildren, Noah, Hannah, Braydon, Haven, Andrew, Cooper, Haylee, Ethan, Naomi, Madison, and Caleb. She was loved by her children James (Sharon) of Hogansville, Randy (deceased) of Hogansville, Richard (Sheryl) of Holly Springs, and Sarah (Marcus) of Bolingbroke. She is also survived by brothers Bobby (Nancy) and Carey Parkman. She loved fishing, camping, spending time with friends and family, First Baptist Church of Pelham, GA and traveling. Nannie, you will always be in our hearts. The memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 30, at the First Baptist Church of Pelham. In lieu of flowers, please donate to First Baptist Church of Pelham or to your favorite charity.
