Doris Ray

Funeral services for Doris Ray, 76, of Pelham will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 10:30AM graveside at Mizpah Church Cemetery. Pastor William Hurst will officiate. Pallbearers will be Scott Hickman, Skyler Shebaum, Gene Benton, Joseph Lamb, Carol Ray and Karlos Spence. Born August 28, 1947 in Mitchell Co she was the daughter of the late Lee and Alberta Brinson Shephard. Mrs. Ray passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. She was retired from Darwoods and a member of Gordon Heights Baptist Church in Cairo. She is survived by her husband, Elvin Ray of Pelham; two sons, Scott Lamb (Dale); Ron Lamb (Dewana); a daughter, Katrina Rodriguez; grandchildren, Anna Ford, Shianne Lamb, Megan Rodriguez, Joseph Lamb, Kimberly Lamb, Issac Lamb, Racheal Lamb and Scott Hickman; great grandchildren, Christopher Ford, Harmany Clinton, Payton Cooper, and Shayla Johnson and a sister, Dyann House. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, James Summers, two sisters, Bonnie McDaniel and Frances Maddox and a brother, Jimmy Shephard.
