Doris Martin

Funeral services for Doris Martin, 90, of Pelham will be held Friday, June 22, 2018 at 2:00PM at Pine Level Baptist Church where she was a member. The Rev. Jim Weaver will officiate and private interment will follow the service in Oakview Cemetery in Camilla. Pallbearers will be Curtis Weaver, Garrett Weaver, Austin Singleton, Brandon Futch, Brian Humphries and Dawson Humphries. Honorary pallbearers will be her Pine Level Sunday School Class and her former Sunday school class at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Mrs. Martin passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at her residence. Born December 22, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Lonney E. and Bessie Tharpe Jones who preceded her in death. She is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Hammock (Frank) and Jackie Humphries (Sydney); six grandchildren, Lisa Weaver (Allen); Pam Bush (Paul); Kevin Hendley; Samantha Humphries Anderson (Mike); Brian Humphries (Amber); nine great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; one brother, Glen Jones; two sisters, Leanette Jones Hall and Dora McWhorter. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Martin, a grandson, Lee Humphries; a brother-in-law, Mac McWhorter; a sister-in-law, Betty Jones and brother-in-law, C.E. Jones. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 1:00PM-2:00PM at the church.
