 Funeral services for Denzil Chapman, 80, of Pelham will be held Sunday, August 19, 2018 at 2:00PM at Pelham First Baptist Church where he was a member. The Rev. Matt Peek, Rev. Chuck Scarborough and Rev. Tommy McDonald will officiate and private family interment will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Pebble City. Pallbearers will be Neal Hilliard, Tracy Singleton, Dr. David Drury, Andrew Chaffer, Kevin Harrell and Wesley Palmer. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of First Baptist Church and the adult 5 Men’s Sunday School Class. He was the owner of Chapman Plumbing. Mr. Chapman passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018 in Pelham. Born November 8, 1937 in Sale City he was the son of the late Lonnie C. and Julie Mae Crosby Chapman. He was married to Nan Lou Camp Chapman for 60 years who survives. Other survivors include Jodie Chapman McDonald (Tommy) of Pelham; Granddaughter, Meredith Rainey (Carlisle) of Tallahassee; Grandson, Ryan McDonald (Ashley) of Valdosta; Katie McDonald (Mark Madray) of Pelham; twin sister, Dazie Shiver of Camilla and brother Max Chapman of Donaldsonville. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Tracy Todd Chapman, brothers,  David Chapman, W.L. Chapman, two sisters, Everlein Scarborough and Marie Chapman.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation 8301 Professional Place East, Suite 200 Landover, MD 20785-2353. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 5:00-7:00PM.
