Daniel Morey

Funeral services for Daniel Cecil Morey, 69, of Pelham will be held Thursday, August 7, 2014 at 2:00PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home with interment at Akridge Cemetery . Mr. Morey was born March 5,1945 in Camilla to the late Cecil Morey and Laverne Martin Morey. He was retired Assistant Police Chief from the Pelham Police Department. Mr. Morey was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Trinity Baptist Church. Mr. Morey is survived by his nephews, Terry Morey of Hartsfield and Chris Morey of Ohio. He was preceded in death by his mom and dad Cecil Morey and Laverne Martin Morey and a brother Dewitt Morey. Pallbearers will be Roscoe Jones, Eugene Davis, Nealie McCormick, E.B. Beasley, Gene Benton, and Russell Benton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Harry Sowell, Anthony (Mose) Morrell, Lavon Brock, Tyler Sowell and Verlon Fenn and his Hardees Breakfast Group.
