Dan Wallace Walton SR

Mr. Wallace Walton, Sr., 93, of Pelham passed away April 17, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 19, 2015 at 4:00PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be John Henry White, Tommy Palmer, Gary Humphries, Walter Sealy, Freddy Hooks, Darien Humphries, Leon Davis, Jim Doutrich and Jess Kilpatrick, Thomas Sneads and Mike Willis. The Rev. Matt Peek will officiate and interment will be in Meigs Sunset Cemetery. Born October 31, 1921 in Meigs he was the son of the late Daniel Richardson Walton and Lotta Pearl Brock Walton who preceded him in death. He was married to Norma Urquhart Walton for 73 who also preceded him in death. He owned and operated a clothing store and was a WWII Veteran in the 11th Infantry 5th Division and received EAME Theater Ribbon with two bronze stars and good conduct medal and a member of First Baptist Church of Pelham, Sunday School superintendent and member of the American Legion. He is survived by his son, Dan Wallace Walton, Jr.(Sue B.), a daughter, Mary Joyce Walton, Granddaughters, Susie Walton Pollock(Barry), Krista Walton Lee(Kevin), Jennifer Walton Humphries(Travis), Great Grandchildren, Neal Taylor, Jr., Parker Taylor, Tyler Lee, Hunter Humphries, Riley Pollock, Dana Pollock, Kristofer Lee and Danielle Lee and a niece, Jan Cockcroft. The family will receive friend from 3:00PM-4:00PM at the funeral home on Sunday.
