Dallas Folsom, 86, of Albany, GA passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Lee County Healthcare in Leesburg, GA. Born on August 21, 1927 in Berlin, GA to the late Ellis Remer and Bessie Marie Gay Folsom, he was a retired shop foreman and Baptist by faith. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by his wife Betty Gay Folsom of Albany, GA, daughters Janice Hatcher and husband David of Leesburg, GA, Susan Folsom of Albany, GA, grandson Clifford Jason Hatcher of Houston, TX, brothers Alvin Folsom of Albany, GA, Clyde Folsom of Ocala, FL, Jack Folsom of San Diego, CA, Hayden Folsom of Brooksville, FL, Lige Folsom of Ft. White, FL, Austin Folsom of Moultrie, GA, sisters Nan Sue Higginbothom and Sandra Reber, both of Jacksonville, FL and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Randall Folsom, parents Ellis Remer and Bessie Marie Gay Folsom, brother Ray Melvin Folsom and sisters Marietta Krazit and Geraldine Folsom. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2013 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Jamerson Funeral Home in Pelham, GA. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, August 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m . in the chapel of the funeral home. Alvin Folsom will officiate the services with David Hatcher, Tim Hatcher, Cliff Hatcher serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are his brothers, Alvin Folsom, Clyde Folsom, Jack Folsom, Hayden Folsom, Lige Folsom and Austin Folsom. Interment will take place in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
