Services for Mildred Dale Whitehead Evans, 64, of Cairo will be held Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 3:00PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Newsome will officiate. Born September 4, 1958 in Thomasville she was the daughter of the late James Aldon and Mildred Louise Daughtry Whitehead. Mrs. Evans passed away Monday, August 28, 2023 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. She was of the Baptist Faith and formally worked with the Albany Health Department. She is survived by her daughter, Raven Dean (Terell) of Pace, FL; son, Ethan James Hysell of Phenix, AZ; brother, Danny Whitehead (Teresa) of Pelham; sisters, Debra Lara of Thomasville; Deena Jones (Jeff) of Dixie; Delena Miller of Cairo; a grandchild, Kamaryn Cotton; five nieces and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Allen Whitehead. The family will receive friends at the funeral home an hour prior to the service.
