Betty Sue Godwin Jones

Betty Sue Godwin Jones, 74, of Pelham passed away Friday, November 6, 2020 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 10:00AM  at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Rev. Nathan Fowler will officiate. Family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.  Trey Godwin, Todd Godwin, Eric Godwin, Lance Godwin, Jared Godwin, Russ Godwin, Julie Godwin and Chad Godwin will serve as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers will be Earl Godwin, Jeff Godwin, Ken Godwin, Chris Godwin, Bobby Godwin and Robert NeSmith.  Born December 18, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Susie Bell NeSmith Godwin.  She was married to James Edgar Jones, who preceded her in death. Survivors include her son, Jeffrey Hill Jones (Misty); grandson Grayson Hill Jones; granddaughter Baxley Lee Jones; brothers Ike Godwin (Bonnie), Teddy Godwin (Rose), Mark Godwin (Sheila); sisters-in-law JoAnn Godwin and Lynda Adams; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers Jerry Godwin and Bill Adams; and a sister LaVerne Godwin.
