Barry Hickey

Memorial services for Barry William Hickey, 36, of Meigs will be held Sunday, June 28, 2020 at 2:00PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Social distancing is still in effect. Barry William Hickey was born in Thomasville, GA, on October 19, 1983.  He was the son of Derwood T. and Sharen Barry Hickey of Meigs, GA.  He was a graduate of Thomas County Central High School and was very active in the Drama Department.  His love, other than Christ, was his family, nephews and nieces, aunts and uncles and of course Rick and Bubba of the Rick and Bubba show.  He was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his parents, Derwood T. and Sharen B. Hickey of Meigs, sisters Angelia M. Strickland and husband Ray of Waycross, GA, Jessica H. Walker and husband Phillip of Valdosta, GA, nephew Zachary R. Strickland of Waycross, GA, nieces Kelsey, Kailyn and Kinsley Walker of Valdosta, GA; aunts and uncles Rickey and Alice Barry of Arabia, Gene and Karen Hickey of Meigs, Robert W. Hickey of Acworth, Kathy Hickey Fain of Tallahassee, FL and many cousins.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents Oris (OJ) and Dorothy McAfee Barry (Ms. Dot) and William D. (Bill) and Norma Hickey.  In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Barry's memory to Shriners Hospital for Children.
