Funeral services for Alton Bryant, 83, of Hartsfield will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 1:00PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Rev. Gerald Willis will officiate and interment will be in Bridge Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Bryant, Hunter Bryant, Bryce Courtney, Chris Bryant, Durrell Sadler, Jeff Tucker and Tim Henry. He was a member on Meigs Pentecostal Holiness Church. Born May 9, 1941 in Mitchell County he was the son of the late Enos Cary and Prudy Barton Bryant. Mr. Bryant passed away Friday, May 17, 2024 at his residence. Survivors include his wife of 47 years Delilah Willis Bryant; son, Michael Bryant (Angie); grandchildren, Hunter Reed Bryant, Marlee Clare Bryant and Baylee Bryce Courtney; brothers-in-law, Gerald Willis (Rose); Theron Willis (Wynette); Gary Willis (Martha); sisters-in-law, Lily Mae Bryant and Clare Cauley; He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Silas Bryant, Carley Bryant, Johnny Bryant and Donald Bryant; sisters, Verna Mae Roberts, Eloise Hurst and Dorothy Mae Hurst, and a sister-in-law, Merian Willis Godwin. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 from 6:00-8:00PM at the funeral home.
