Alene Hurst Barfield

Alene Leah Hurst Barfield, 97, passed away in her home on November 18, 2023. She was born on April 26, 1926 in Meigs, Ga. She was the daughter of Carl Barnett and Leah Shirah Hurst who proceeded her in death. She was married to Lubie Barfield, who Preceded her in death. Alene was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on June 3, 1953. Alene was preceded in death by two sons, Billy Malcolm Barfield and Tommy Eugene Barfield along with 11 siblings. Alene is survived by her two sons Glenn Dale Barfield (Charlotte) of Pelham, Ga and Quinton Earl Barfield (Barbara) of Meigs, Ga and her three daughters Sandra Lee Daughtry, Vickie Lynn Free (Billy), and Marian Lorain Glenn (Steve) all of Meigs, Ga. Two sisters Eloiuse Draughon of Meigs, Ga and Jeanette McGuire (Alvin) of Pelham, Ga. Grandchildren, Michelle Barfield, Angel Nikki Smith (Larry), Jason Barfield (Robin), Lance Barfield, Shea Glenn (Anna), Pamela Hudson (Josh), Josh Daughtry (Ashley), Tina Foster (BJ) and Lacey Carter (Joseph), 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
