Agnes H. Wilson, 87, of Pelham, Georgia passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018 at her son’s home in Ooltewah Tennessee. She worked at the Hand Trading Company as manager of the ladies shoe department, then at Scott and Marshall Grocery and finally, at the daycare center at First Baptist Church in Pelham. Agnes was a member of First Baptist Church of Pelham and the Sunshine Sunday School class. She enjoyed visiting members of her class and absolutely loved serving others.  She loved the Lord, her family, her church family and working in her yard. She loved the little children and worked in the nursery a number of years at the church. She also served on various church committees. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar O. Wilson Sr., an infant child, her parents, Henry J. Horton SR. and Josie Green Horton, stepmother, Lois Barfield Horton, brothers, Alton Horton, Henry J. Horton Jr., sisters, Louise Womble, Eilene Britt, Dorothy Butler, Geneva Avant, Bobbie Brinkley and Thelma Guinn. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Mary Wilson of Ooltewah, Tennessee, her grandson, Patrick of Ooltewah, Tennessee, sister, Annette Ezell of Cairo, Georgia and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 8, 2018 at First Baptist Church Pelham, 177 Church Street SW Pelham, Georgia 31779. Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 8, 2018 at First Baptist Church Pelham with Rev. Matt Peek officiating. Interment will be at Pinecrest Memory Gardens. Flowers will be accepted, along with memorials to the First Baptist Church Pelham, 177 Church Street SW Pelham, Georgia 31779 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
